Yik Yak returns to UW campus after five year hiatus
What is Yik Yak?
Yik Yak is an anonymous social media platform that allows you to post whatever you want with no personal ties to accounts. Posts are seen by other anonymous users and can either be upvoted or downvoted. Each user can see posts up to a certain distance away. The maximum is up to five miles.
The Truth
The app store removed Yik Yak following a string of racial, homophobic and sexist comments on college and high school campuses across the nation. Now with Yik Yak’s return to the app-store people are going online to warn of Yik Yak’s dangers on the youth.
